Job Overview

The BCD Manager is responsible for the overall management, planning, execution, and monitoring of branch construction and store development projects, including new store openings, renovations, repairs and maintenance (R&M), and facilities-related initiatives across the organization. The role oversees store design implementation, project execution, contractor management, and branch upkeep standards to ensure projects are delivered within approved specifications, timelines, budget, and operational requirements. The position likewise ensures the functionality, safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness of stores, warehouses, and related facilities in support of the Company’s expansion and distribution operations.

Requirements

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple branch construction and renovation projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of architectural and engineering plans, construction methods, materials, and store fit-out standards.
  • Budget and cost monitoring skills, with the ability to track project expenses against approved specifications and timelines.
  • Contractor and vendor management skills, including evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and enforcing quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills for managing permits, project records, plans, and maintenance reports.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and facilities management practices (electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, signage, fixtures).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address on-site construction issues, maintenance concerns, and facility optimization needs.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills to supervise engineers, architects, and utility personnel.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional departments, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal, for presenting project updates to Management.
  • Sound knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and permitting requirements relevant to retail/commercial construction.
  • Ability to travel frequently and conduct on-site inspections across multiple branch locations.
  • Proficiency in project management and productivity tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially under tight timelines and multi-site rollout pressures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably with experience supporting pharmacy, healthcare, logistics, warehousing, FMCG, or distribution operations.
  • Exposure to retail construction standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and operational workflow considerations is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth organizations with nationwide operations is an advantage.
